Nissan will launch 3 new SUVs

Nissan has confirmed the launch of three new vehicles in India for 2026. The first will be the Gravit compact MPV, which is expected to hit showrooms by March 2026. It will likely get the Triber’s 1.0-litre petrol engine, mated to a manual or AMT gearbox.

An SUV will come to compete with the Creta

In February 2026, Nissan will introduce its Creta-competing SUV, the Tecton. The Tekton will share the CMF-B platform with the Renault Duster and its petrol engine options will also be similar. The company has also said that it will also launch a 7-seater SUV based on the Tecton’s platform in 2027. The SUV may be a re-badged version of the Renault Bigster/Boreal sold abroad.

These companies will also raise prices

Nissan’s decision to hike prices comes at a time when companies such as Mercedes-Benz, BYD and MG have also announced hikes in the prices of their vehicles due to increased input costs or unfavorable exchange rates. This is the reason why more companies may also announce price hikes in the future.
