From Tata Sierra to Kia Seltos, Renault Duster and Maruti E Vitara, SUVs are currently making waves in the mid-size car segment. However, many sedan cars are also going to be launched next year. The price of which will be between 10-20 lakh rupees (ex-showroom). The new variant of the Hyundai Verna, which is a facelifted version of the existing model launched in March 2023, will be launched in the early days of the second quarter. The design of this redesigned model will be almost inspired by the eighth generation Sonata.
Facelifted version of Hyundai Verna
The 2026 Hyundai Verna will get a new look in the front bumper, split headlights and front grille. 16-inch alloy wheels, connected tail lamps and rear bumper will also get a new design. The interior of this car will have a large size 12.3 inch cockpit display, which will run on the new CCNC operating system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Wireless Android Auto will be standard features and will not require any adapters. Engine and transmission options are expected to remain the same as the current model.
Skoda Slavia facelift version
Later in the year, the automaker will launch a facelifted version of the Skoda Slavia and soon after, the VW Virtus will also get a similar update. Both these models from the Volkswagen Group are likely to get several cosmetic updates, including new bumpers, changed headlights and taillights, a new grille design and new 16-inch alloy wheels.
On the inside, the 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system is likely to see major software updates and new functions added. It will look better with improved reverse parking camera and level 2 advanced driver assistance system. Both the Skoda Slavia and VW Virtus will retain the existing engine and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, but their 6-speed automatic transmissions will be replaced by nearly identical 8-speed units.
Honda City Facelift
Another facelift of the fifth generation Honda City is also planned to be introduced in the second half of the year. But according to media reports it will not be changed much. Because in 2028, a completely new model will be launched instead of the fifth generation model. Minor changes to the grille and bumper, new 16-inch alloy wheels and new color options will be the main parts of the update.
