Mahindra XUV 7XO is one of the most awaited upcoming SUVs in India, which is scheduled to be launched in the country on January 5. It will actually be an updated and re-badged version of the Mahindra XUV700, one of the company’s best-selling SUVs. Interestingly, Mahindra is following the same naming strategy for the XUV 7XO that it followed with the XUV 3XO, which was introduced as an updated and re-badged version of the XUV300.
The XUV 7XO will share the same design elements and features as the recently launched all-electric XEV 9S in India and the company’s current flagship electric SUV. Mahindra has released a teaser of the upcoming XUV 7XO earlier and with it at least 4 special features have been confirmed for the SUV, making it better than the XUV700.
Powered boss mode
The XUV 7XO will get a powered Bose mode. With this feature, the second row passenger can electrically adjust the front passenger seat by pressing a button on the co-driver’s seat. This gives second row occupants more leg and knee room. This feature is also offered in the XEV 9S.
BYOD
XUV 7XO will get BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) feature. It will have a tablet dock behind the front seats for second-row passengers. These docks will also have a 65W USB Type-C charging socket. This feature is also available in the XEV 9S.
16-speaker sound system
The XUV 7XO will get a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, which is also offered in the XEV 9S. This will be a big upgrade over the XUV700’s 12-speaker Sony music system.
Triple screen
The XUV 7XO will get a triple screen setup on the dashboard. It will have two 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment systems. One in the center and the other on the passenger side. It will also have a fully digital instrument cluster. This triple screen setup will be the biggest highlight of the XUV 7XO. Interestingly, the same feature is also found in the XEV 9S.
