Honda has announced a big plan for the Indian market, which includes plans to launch 10 new vehicles by 2030. The Japanese car maker has a special focus on the SUV segment and under this, 7 new SUV models are in the pipeline. Apart from this, some global models and electric vehicles (EV) will also be launched. In 2026, Honda will also update two of its popular vehicles, the City sedan and the Elevate SUV. Both the facelifts are expected to arrive in the second half of 2026.

New 2026 Honda City Facelift

The Honda City is currently in its 5th generation and is set to get its second mid-life update in 2026. It will continue to compete with Hyundai Verna, Skoda Slavia and Volkswagen Virtus in the midsize sedan segment. Design elements taken from global Honda SUVs and the new Civic can be seen in the updated model. It is likely to get a redesigned grille, changes to the front and rear bumpers, redesigned LED headlamps and new LED tail lamps.

Honda City Interior

Not much change is expected inside the Honda City. Mechanically, the current 1.5 liter naturally aspirated engine (119bhp) will remain in the 2026 Honda City facelift. Along with this, the e:HEV hybrid powertrain option is also likely to continue.

New 2026 Honda Elevate Facelift

The Honda Elevate, to be launched in 2023, will come in a facelift model for the first time. Currently, the company has not revealed its official details, but the updated version can see mild design changes on the front and rear. On the inside, some new features may be added to the SUV, while the cabin layout will remain the same. Talking about the engine, the Elevate facelift will get the same 1.5 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, which produces 121bhp of power and 145Nm of torque. There will be no changes to its dimensions, but Honda may introduce new exterior color options.
