The Bajaj Pulsar Classic range currently includes the Pulsar 125, Pulsar 150 and the Pulsar 220F. These bikes have been among Pulsar’s favorite bikes for many years. These vehicles compete with the TVS Apache range in the market. Now that the Pulsar range is going to complete 25 years in the year 2026, Bajaj is preparing a major update for the Pulsar classic bike.
The Bajaj Pulsar Classic model currently gets a conventional double-cradle frame and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Whereas, the Pulsar NS and RS bikes have a strong perimeter frame and monoshock suspension at the rear. Bajaj’s new platform is found in the Pulsar N series (N125, N160 and N250). It features a new tubular frame, designed for better balance and agility. These bikes also have monoshock suspension at the rear.
These changes will happen in the bike
The updated Pulsar Classic range may also use the new tubular frame of the N series. As per the riding style of the Pulsar Classic bike, some important changes can be made in the chassis. The new Pulsar Classic bike is expected to have a more balanced and agile ride. Current models offer good performance and stability, but sometimes feel a bit heavy. The riding experience will be better after the update. The engines of the 2026 Pulsar Classic bike are also expected to be more refined. This update could be similar to the air-cooled engine used in the Pulsar N series. The DTS-i engine is available in the current Pulsar Classic bike. The new engine will work in better coordination with the new chassis. It remains to be seen if the fuel efficiency will increase or not.
Design updates and new tech features
The Pulsar Classic bike is already loved for its sporty looks, so no major changes are expected in its design. Only minor cosmetic changes can be made. The updated model will get a monoshock suspension at the rear to give the bike a sportier look. Bajaj may also bring new colors and graphics. The 2026 Pulsar Classic bike may also add some new tech features.
Launch timeline
Bajaj is expected to launch the updated 2026 Pulsar Classic bike around the festive season. Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 may be launched first. Prices may increase slightly with new updates. Currently, the Pulsar 125 is priced at ₹86,000, the Pulsar 150 at ₹1.05 lakh and the Pulsar 220F at ₹1.28 lakh.
