The queen of speed has arrived in the country! Kawasaki launched a Rs 8 lakh sports bike

Kawasaki India has launched the MY2026 version of the Ninja 650. It has been priced at ₹7.91 lakh (ex-showroom). The engine in the new Kawasaki Ninja 650 is based on the updated E20 fuel. This middleweight sports tourer bike has become ₹14,000 more expensive than the old model. However, it is priced much lower than competing bikes like the Honda CBR650R. Honda CBR650R is priced at ₹ 11.16 lakh (ex-showroom).

The 2026 Kawasaki Ninja 650 is powered by a 649 cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine. The same engine was also in the MY2025 model, but has now been updated to the E20 fuel standard. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch. This engine produces 67 bhp of power at 8,000 rpm and 62.1 Nm of torque at 6,700 rpm.

Brakes and suspension

The 2026 Kawasaki Ninja 650 gets 300 mm dual disc brakes at the front and 220 mm disc brakes at the rear. Both front and rear brakes come with dual-channel ABS. For suspension, a 45 mm telescopic fork is provided at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The top speed of the bike is 212 km per hour.

The 2026 Kawasaki Ninja 650 gets the same 4.3-inch full-color TFT instrument cluster as before. It features smartphone connectivity and a switchable Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) system via Kawasaki’s Rideology app.

design

The design of the 2026 Kawasaki Ninja 650 is similar to the old model. No changes have been made to its design. However, the new bike has been given a new livery, which makes it look more sporty. Apart from this, it is also available in lime green color as before.
