The Olympic park will be the focus of attention during the 2012 Olympic games. Olympic organisers are working hard to minimise the disruption on the local community while working towards the completion of the park, as well as keeping them informed on its progress. The organisers are very keen to encourage the local community to promote inclusion and involve everyone in this historic event.
We spoke to some local residents, who seem unsure about what benefits they will see for the local area outside the park. A man working on a stall in Stratford shopping centre had a very positive attitude towards the Olympics, saying he would go to the games if he was invited. Many local residents are unsure if they will attend the games because of the cost.
Due to the amount of jobs created there is undeniable support among the community. After going on a tour around the park site it is difficult not to be impressed by the scale and ambition of this massive project.
With an estimated 7.7 million tickets due to be available this truly will be the biggest worldwide event of 2012.
