A story is started and rumours go round and the story gets changed entirely. There was a girl who died from being in a serious accident involving a car. The point I am making is that Joanna Payne now a student at Billericay school, had a rumour go round about her that she died in that terrible accident, people gave her parents flowers and her mums friend had to come out of her work meeting. Even her Nan from Scotland got a phone call saying that this girl Joanna Payne had died.
It goes to show that one word goes round and gossip lets loose and changes all the facts from the original story. How do you think the parents of the girl who died feeling about the situation? The game Chinese whispers are about a sentence that goes around a circle of people and see if it ends up the same sentence when it gets to the end of the circle. In fact the game Chinese whispers happens everyday and in everyday life. It’s called GOSSIP!!
